Nontechnical Founders: Offer Value To Your Audience BEFORE Hiring Software Developers

By October 1, 2021April 3rd, 2022No Comments

The first thing you offer your audience does not have to be coded.

My stance?

Hold out as long as you can before software development.

If you’re a nontechnical founder, software development can (AND WILL) cost you gobs of money.

As you’re getting to know your customer and iterating on your product…

…there’s no reason to shell out that cash.

Instead, focus on building thought leadership.

Build the crowd around you.

Afterall, in the early days, people buy YOU, YOUR VISION, and just a little bit of the product or service you offer.

The key is to make sure your early marketing can also be used as customer and market research.

If you know your customer’s goals & needs, there are things that you can piece together BEFORE spending a ton of money on software development.
