Don’t Follow Your Competition

You’re a unique snowflake.

When I was 12, I thought if I just ate what she ate, I’d be as thin as she was.

That’s how I ended up eating a bag of Cheetos for lunch every day.

I wouldn’t learn until my 20’s that we all have different metabolisms and body types. Each of us has to do what works best for us.

So next time you get hung up on what your comparatives and competitors are doing, remember that you must run your business the way that is best for you.

You are a unique snowflake. That uniqueness means only you can provide your exact customer segment the solution and experience that you offer. 

Now I don’t want to tell you to forget your competition because you should know what they’re up to. But just because they offer X doesn’t mean you need to drop everything to also offer X.

Keep your finger on the pulse without letting their waves shock you into doing something different… or doing nothing at all.

 Put your flavor into your business, then no competitor can have that edge that you can bring to your business. That’s what will differentiate you from the rest.
