Surveys are an incredibly helpful tool when it comes to learning more about your customers. But creating a survey that gets you the information you need can be incredibly daunting.

Here are my top rules when it comes to creating a masterful customer survey:

  1. Only ask questions for which you know exactly what you’re going to do with the answer.
  2. Use mostly close-ended questions in order to make the survey easy for your customers to fill out.
  3. Divide your survey up by pages.
  4. Ask the most important questions first.

Now, how do you feel about putting together a survey? It all boils down to stepping into your customer’s shoes to make sure the survey is easy and easy-to-understand.
